Bunker Gulch to Upper Hare Creek

trail:Old logging road. Not a loop. Appropriate for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
difficulty:Fairly easy, almost flat, total elevation is 50 feet.
length:6.2 miles round trip
elevation:50 feet
features:

This is a logging road that goes from Highway 20 to the headwaters of Hare Creek. The trail follows a creek the entire distance. There's an ideal spot for lunch or rest stop on the Bunker Gulch Bridge while listening to the gurgling of the creek.

directions:

The trailhead is located just past Gate 440 at the 5.5 milepost on the south side of Highway 20. (#1) The first 1.6 miles is an old logging road that follows Bunker Gulch Creek. Road 440 then intersects with Road 400 (#2) which follows Hare Creek to the right (downstream) and left (upstream). At this junction is a very pleasant place to stop and rest and/or have a picnic lunch. Turn left and cross the bridge. The trail continues for approximately 1.5 miles, when it becomes too overgrown to wade through. (#3)
